POLICE FORCE CHANGES
TRANSFERS AND PROMOTIONS (By Telegraph—Brass Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. Senior-Sergeant Calwell, officer in charge of the Taranaki Street police station, is being transferred to Christchurch, and will be replaced here by Senior-Sergeant J. J. Power, Hamilton. Senior-Sergeant Fox, Christchurch, has been promoted sub-inspec-tor and transferred. Senior-Sergeant G. H. Lambert, of Newton, Auckland, goes to Hamilton, Senior-Sergeant H. J. Joyce, Taihape, succeeding him. Sergeant W. J. Nixon, on the staff of the Commissioner’s office, is prooted to be Senior-Sergeant. Sergeant T. Moriarity, Frankton Junction, is promoted to Senior-Sergeant and transferred to Palmerston North to replace Senior-Sergeant Whitehouse, who is soon to retire. Sergeant W. Blako, of Waihi, has been made Senior-Sergeant.
