PERSONAL AND GENERAL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr L. McPliillips is spending a holiday of a few weeks in Wellington and the South. Mrs A. D. Black, of Christchurch, 'who lived for many years in -South 1 Taranaki, is visiting the district, and | renewing old friendships. Mr and Mrs Black were among the old pioneers in the early days on the Palmer Road. Miss Hornby, of Manaia, is the guest of Mrs T. J. Boss. Mr T. Haworth has now' left the Hawera Hospital and is convalescing with 1 his brother, Mr W. Haworth, Te Awa- ( mutu. Mr J. Stewart, who has agai,n been an inmate of Hawcra Hospital, has returned home. Mr S. Nuku is visiting Hawke’s Bav. Mr Nuku, junior, of Taikatu Road, (fractured his thigh and is in hospital. Mrs Ew’ens, senior, of Oeo Road, is in the Hawcra Hospital. I Mr Gordon Kirk and Mr Alan Webby have returned home from hospital. I Miss Johnstone, of Christchurch, is • visiting relatives at Auroa. j -Mrs Vooght is visiting the district. .
