DRAMATIC TEST APPLIED. SAFEST SHIP AFLOAT. (United l-reea /mrociatlon —By Electric Telegraph Copyright..) Received 2.20 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Feb. 21. The fire resisting qualities of the new liner Queen Alary were given a dramatic test when a passenger cabin fully fitted, but coated with fireproof paint, was drenched with 20 gallons of petrol and a light applied. The petrol blazed furiously, but a slight scorching of the walls was the only damage. It- is believed that the Queen Alary will not only he the biggest and fastest-, but the safest vessel afloat.
