FOXTON FARMERS FINED

FOXTON, To-day.

Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., made it clear in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday that ragwort must not be allowed to spread. A farmer was convicted for allowing three pieces to grow on an 145 acre farm. Others were fined amounts from 10s to £3 for similar offences.

T.he action was taken by the Agricultural Department, acting in conjunction with the Manawatu Rabbit Board.
