MARGARET LINDSAY

Margaret Lindsay, who will appear in “The Merry Wives of Reno.” at the Grand Theatre next Tuesday and Wednesday, ,A\*as born in Dubuque, lowa, her real name being Margaret Kies. .She was educated in the National Park Seminary in Washington, D.C.,

and in the National Academy of Dra malic Art.

She began Avith small parts on the stage and Avorked up to leading roles, playing also in stock and repertoire. Her biggest stage hit Avas in “Death Takes a Holiday.”

Recently she entered pictures and made a striking success in her role in “Cavalcade.”

Other pictures in which she has appeared include “Lady Killer,” “From Headquarters,” “The House on ofith Street.” “The World \ Changes,” “Private Detective (52,” “Captured,” “Voltaire,” “Once in a Lifetime,” “The Fourth Horseman” and “West of Singapore.”
