Accused’s Nerves Strained by Details of Arrest
OBJECTION TO EVIDENCE “MISTER, YOU STOP LYING” (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Oopyrijht..' Received 3.15' p.m. to-day. FLEMINGTON (N.J.), Jan. 17. Hauptmann’s nerves were apparently strained at the continuation of tho Lindbergh kidnapping case to-day by hearing how the baby died and further detailed accounts of how he himself was arrested and found with part of the ransom money.
H.e leaped up and shouted at a Federal agent who was testifying regard* ir.g, the manner in which he deported himself when taken in custody. “Mister, mister, you stop lying,” he veiled. He was immediately dragged down by police officers and the judge calnily warned him to make whatever observations lie wished to make quietly through his counsel.
