CRICKET AT NORMANBY
THURSDAY GAMES COMMENCE. DEFEAT OF NGAERE ELEVEN. Tho opening game of the South Taranaki Thursday county cricket competition took place at Normanby on Thursday, when the home team defeated Ngaere in a closely-contested match. Ngaere batted first and, on a matting wicket which played fast and true, totalled 95 runs, - five batsmen reaching double figures, Clark 21 and Edwards 20 being the highest.
