REVELATIONS AT SINGAPORE ARRESTS OF JAPANESE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright). Received 10 a.m. to-day. SINGAPORE, Dec. 9. It has been officially decided never to make public' the details- of the Japanese espiionage case which the investigations of-the past week have revealed. Sir Hentou Thomas, Governor of the Straits Settlements, personally saw the press and requested no further statements be made locally. He refused to suggest the details of the case. The Colonial Office, London, has full details and will not make a statement. The mystery concerning Nishimuri, the Japanese resident who died in the police office on Wednesday, thickens as the police still delay publication of the result of an autopsy.

It is assumed by the general public here that a big espionage organisation lias been discovered. It is understood that the Japanese, who, it is alleged, were arrested on charges of espionage, are being deported. The police are maintaining the greatest secrecy concerning thei: inquiries.

The combined naval, army and air force manoeuvres are beginning on December 13. It is stated officially that the manoeuvres will be secret and no statement will be made to the Press.”
