HAWERA DRUIDS’ LODGE

TWO PRESENTATIONS MADE.

L ARK BOWLERS &JNI'E.ITA 'NED The fortnightly meeting of the Hawera Druids was held on Monday, when A.D. Bro. Smith presided and there was a large attendance of members. The Bards reported favourably upon the sick members. During harmony, P. D. Bro. Adams presented to M.S. Bro. Coombe a P.'M.S. collar, at the same time pointing out the fact that as this is a recent collar, the one preented to Hawera is the first of its kind in New Zealand.

P.A. Bro. G. Harding presented to the lodge, through the Arch Druid, a handsome baton of polished maire which is the insignia of office of the Master of Ceremonies.

P.D.P. Bro. Adams in turn presented the baton to the sitting M.C., P.A. Bro. Hollard.

At the conclusion of the ordinary business the lodge adjourned for the purpose of entertaining the Park bowlers.

After two very enjoyable games all present were entertained at supper, provided by Mrs W. Adams, A. E\vington supervising the table arrangements.

During the evening P.D.P. Bro. Adams presented to P.A. Bro. Cawsey, who is leaving for Greytown, a gold mounted fountain pen ,and stressed the amount of work Bro. Cawsey had done for the furtherance of Druidism. Bro. Cawsey thanked the members for their valuable gift.

gift. Bowling scores were as follow: Premford (Park) l£, Billows 4; Thurston (Park) 9, Grant 8. Next lodge night howls will be played aaginst a Post and Telegraph team.

The officers of the lodge have been coached sufficiently to challenge for the Mackay Shield, and it is hoped to see the shield adofning the lodge room before the end of the half year.
