FOUR LANDINGS INTENDED (% (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.! Received 1.15. p.m. to-day. HONOLULU, Oct. 26. Mr Leon Skilling has announced that Mr. 0. T. P. Ulm is testing a ’plane in England for a flight from Canada to Australia, starting probably on November 20. Mr Skilling states he is to be navigator, and Mr George M. Littlejohn, of Australia, co-pilot. Mr Skilling is on the Aorangi en route to Montreal to meet *lr Ulm. They plan landings at Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Melbourne, using a low winged land monoplane. Mr. J. Stannage, ‘‘Smithy’s” busimanager, who is also on the Aorangi, says “Smithy” plans to fly very high nearing Hawaii in the hope of finding a tail wind. The surface trade winds are blowing against him this season; but the naVv aerographer at Peal Harbour says there is a good chance of a favourable wind above GOvlO feet.
