THREE MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A sentence of three months’ imprisonment was imposed by Mr Stillwell, S.M., on Frank Chapman, aged 33, a labourer, for the theft at Wanganui on September 28 of a suitcase containing shirts and collars to the value of £l, the property of E. A. Manchester. Manchester, a hawker, picked .accused up on the road and took him to AVanganui and advanced money ior his board. Accused afterwards went, to a garage where Manchester had had a car towed after a- breakdown and took the property from the vehicle. A charge in respect to being iu arrears with a maintenance order was adjourned for four months.
