Boycott on Australian Produce VALUE OF TRADE AFFECTED (United Preso Association —By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 1 p.m. to-day. LONDON, Aug. 16. in a letter replying to the Bolton District Grocers and Provision Dealers’ Association’s resolution not to stock Australian produce until the cotton duties are withdrawn. Mr S. M. Bruce pointed out that the value of the United Kingdom trade affected by the duties recently imposed was £350,000 per annum, which was Jess than 7 per cent, of Australia’s import of cotton goods from Lancashire last year.
