OFFICIAL FORECAST. (For 24’-hours from 9 a.m. to-day.) The general inference is that an intense anti-cyclone covers New Zealand, the highest pressure being along the East Coast. A shallow cyclone ■is located over the western part, of the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for light to moderate, but freshening north-east to northerly winds and the weather will probably be fine at first- and mild but with unsettled conditions and rain probable after about 24 hours. Temperatures will bo mild. Seas will be smooth, but later rising.
