CAUGHT IN FALL OF COAL
WEST COAST MINER KILLED. COMPANION EFFECTS ESCAPE. <By l>lcerßpti—rresa AKRoclat.lim.i GBE'YMO'UTH, April 27. A fatality happened in- th’e Morgan section of the Liverpool State colliery when a fall of coal buried Colin Sneddon, a miner aged 34, living at Cobden, a-t 3 o’clock this afternoon, Mr Snedden with -his mate, Mr Harry Danwell, was filling the last truck before knocking off work when the roof, consisting of soft coal, came away, covering Mr Snedden and 1 his trucker, Mr Ronald! Morrison, Dunollie, who, however, was no-t so near the face a-nd soon extricated himself.
Mr Sn'edden’-s body was extricated quickly by his fellow workers, but life was extinct, his neck having been fractured. He was a married man with four children.
