BOYS AND GIRLS’ CLUBS
SOUTH TARANAKI ACTIVITIES REQUEST TO DEPARTMENTS A decision to approach the Agricultural and Education Departments for a grant towards the continuance of the South Taranaki Boys and Girls’ Agricultural iChibs Association was made at a meeting of the association at Hawera to-day It was also decided to approach the Taranaki Education Board with a similar request. Messrs F. iGillanders, E. P. Grant and B. G. Betts and R. Syme were appointed to carry out the judging of the vegetable plots next week. The conditions for Toot crop competitions are to be the same as last year. The judges will be Messrs C. Haynes and R. Syme. The following donations were acknowledged with thanks:—Farmers’ Union branches: Cardiff £2 2s, Mangatoki £2 2s, Kaponga £1 Is, Tokaora £2 2s, Whakamara £1 Is; Messrs R. Syme £5, J. A. Gulliver £2 2s, F. Hoskin £2 2s, •!&. W. Williams £1 Is, jH. G. Dickie £1 Is, E. J. Betts £1 Is, Riverlea Boys and 'Girls’ Club £1 9s, New Zealand
