GOLF’ON SHOWGROUNDS OPINIONS AT HAMILTON (By TelegrapD—rrefw Association.: HAMILTON, April 12. flThe ethics of Sunday pday were again brought into the limelight at Hamilton! to-day when a, spirited discussion followed a proposal to the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association to permit Sunday golf to be played on their grounds at Glaiudalands. The Minister’s Association in a letter to the A. and P. Association asked that such steps foe taken to prevent the wounding of the religious susceptibilities and convictions of nearby residents and registered a strong protest against the proposal on account of the close proximity of several churches and the fact that the showgrounds were in a. residential area.

Varied views were expressed by members and it was decided by 19 votes t-o nine to grant permission to a blub to use the grounds prow ding no Sunday play were indulged in.
