CORONATION CEREMONY

REHEARSALS IN PROGRESS

FINE MUSICAL PROGR AMME.

There was a final dress rehearsal for the coronation of the Queen of the Hawera. unemployment relief carnival on Tuesday* night at the Winter Enow Building, when a large number of spectators were present. The Queen and the Ladies in Waiting and all. court attendants were present and. the eeremonv was carried out most- satisfactorily and efficiently. A feature of the evening was the playing tov a -special - \ljv arranged orchestra, of the coronation march, sneeiallv composed by Mr H. C. A. Fox. The march com menees with a set- of cathedral chimes and is followed by a, fanfare of twelve trumpets, w.th side drums and tvmpani. This leads into the coronation march proper, pla-ved by full orcliextra. Tn addition Mr Fox has composed special incidental music and tV-s was also i successfully rehearsed.
