IMPORT TO BE ALLOWED QUOTAS FOR FOUR MONTHS. PRE-WAR SUPPLY AS BASIS. (United Presp Association —By Electric Telegrapn copyright.) Received 9.45 a.m to-day. WASHINGTON. Dec. 1. The commercial policy committee is concerned with ways and means of developing foreign trade and has decided to allow the importation of liquors from Canada and other countries for a period of four months on quotas based on the 1910-1914 average for each country. The import policy will be effective when the prohibition repeal becomes operative on Tuesday.
