EGMONT JUBILEE SHOW

OPERA HOUSE CONCERT. PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. A new departure for this year’s Egmont jubilee show at Hawera will be the concert and presentation of trophies which has been arranged for Thursday evening next at the Opera House. ‘ The Hpn. C. EL Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, will be in attendance and the programme of entertainment will include performances by some of Hawera’s most talented artists —songs by Mr. J. Crawford, winner of the Wellington competitions’ solo, items by the Main School choir and Mrs. W. A. Quin’s choir which proved so successful at the Hawera competitions, and by Miss Miss Instone, Misses W. and V. Quin (Shakespearean recital), Miss Kathleen Favrhall, Master Stuart Nairn, Mr. Rupert George, and the Hawera. Savage Ciub orchestra. ' The second part of the programme will be taken up with the presentation of the one-act play “Touchstone,” the winning play in the recent Dominionwide competition held under the patronage of His Excellency the Gover-nor-General.
