EGMONT JUBILEE SHOW

BOYS AND GIRLS’ CLUBS. CALF CHAMPIONSHIP JUDGING. Special arrangements have been made for the judging at the Egmont Jubilee Show of the calves in .the championships of the Boys and Girls’ Agricultural Ciubs. A special committee consisting of Messrs G. Williams, W. V. Parker, F. Hoskin and H. E. Johnson has been set up to assist the clubs’ officials. The committee will assist in the transport.of calves, and' will provide accommodation and milk for the animals on Thursday night. All competitors with calves will have free entry to the grounds and a free lunch provided. This will bo the first time for eight years that the championships have been held at Hawera. Groups 1 and 2, consisting of schools in the vicinity of Hawera, will be judged at 10'a.m. on Friday. The winners will qualify for the championship judging which will follow at 11 a.m. The North Taranaki Boys and Girls’ Clubs have been asked to appoint the championship judges. There will 1)0 big entries, too, for the Boys ancl Girls’ Clubs’ classes on , Thursday. I For the benefit of the young comj petitors arrangements have been made ,to have a tent at the corner of the 1 cattle pavilion, where all information ! will bo available concealing the .judg--1 ing.' -It will he a centre for an inforI mation bureau, and a notice hoard has | been erected there.
