MADRID, Nov. 3. Tim Spanish Government is reported to have ordered an inquiry into the escape of Juan March, Spam’s tobacco kina: a very wealthy merchant, who has been in gaol in Alcala de Henare.; for 18 months awaiting trial on a charge of obtaining a Moroccan tobacco monopoly by bribery during the monarchist regime. His escape is said to have been aided by a prison official who accompanied him t-o Gibraltar. A Gibraltar message .says. March airived there in a motor-car. He passed the frontier unrecognised and is stay ino with Spanish monarchists who have lived at Gibraltar since the establishment of the republic in Spam. It is reported that the Spanish Go\ ernment may confiscate March s property, which is valued at over five mil lion pounds, mostly m the Balearic Islands.
