WATCH KEPT ALL NIGHT. MAN PLACED ON PROBATION. (By Telegraph —Press Association., INVERCARJGILL, Nov. 4. When wool was found on several occasions to be missing from a local store two employees volunteered to sit up all night- in an attempt to apprehend the thief. The sequel was heard in the Police Court yesterday when a married man, whose name was suppressed, was convicted of theft. He was placed on probation for two .years and ordered to make restitution of £7.
