As the result, of two hoys playing j with gelignite and one losing a finger i hy explosion, the father of one of It he ! boys, Robert Maben Currie, was | charged with being in possesion on Oe- j tober 10 of three plugs of gelignite and j three detonators without lawful pur- ! pose. The defendant pleaded guilty, j As the police did not press for a penalty he -was convicted and discharged. He said he had been on contract -work in the country. .Some explosives were left over and he brought them home for safety. His son found them during | his absence.
