Patullo has been elected to power. The former Premier of British (Mr S. F. Tolmie) was defeated in his own electorate. The position of election results at midnight on Thursday was: Union 1, Liberals 29, Co-operative Commonwealth 6, Independent 1, Labour 1, Independent non-pairtisan 1, doubtful 2.

The election was for 41 seats of a total of 47, .so that the Liberals have a. clear majority over all the rest of the House.
