HURRICANE IN JAMAICA

CROPS DAMAGED BADLY. COMMUNICATIONS BROKEN. (British Official Wireless.:) RUGBY, Nov. 2. The Governor of Jamaica reports that the banana crops in St. James have been completely wiped out by the hurricane and are at least 20 per cent, down in other western parishes. Food crops have been badly damaged and extensive damage has been done to roads .bridges, telegraphs and railways. The rest of the island was lesyi affected bv the wind, but suffered from heavy rain.
