The Punjab Eleven in the first innings lost eight wickets for 253 runs (Nayudu 116) ; Langridg© took wickets for 63, Nichols three for 77. The Bengal Cricket Association has nominated Major Nayudu as captain of India’s test team against England. There will be three tests at Bombay, Calcutta and Madras. It is certain tha-t the Control Board will agree to this course.
