YOUTH FOUND DROWNED
BOAT CAPSIZES IN LAKE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OAMARU, Nov. 1. Owen Douglas Banks, aged 17 years, whose parents reside at Auckland, was found drowned in Lake Ohau yesterday morning. Banks went fishing in an open boat at 7.30 o’clock on Monday night and when he did not return, Mr William Fraser, with whom he shared a hut, on Mr A. McKinnon’® (property at Kurow, informed Mr McKinnon. Mr MfcKinnon and (neighbours searched during the night and found Bands’ .gear next morning. They obtained a boat and found the body and the boat, which was overturned. It was thought the boat capsifcrtl while the boy was engaged in fishing. An inquest was held at Mr McKinnon’s house to-dav before Mr Appleby. .T.P.. and a jury of four, and the verdict returned was that Banks was drowned accidentally.
