Taken on the figures available from Opunake, Manaia, Kaponga, Eltham, Hawera , Pa tea and Waveriey the South Taranaki vital statistics for the month of October just ended show an increase of six, deaths a decrease of one and marriages an increase of one compared with the registrations for the corresponding period of 1932. Births aggregated oQ (compared with 44), deaths 11 (ill?), and marriages 13 (12). Registrations for the respective centres with the figures for the month of October last year in parenthesis were a.s follow : Hawera.—Births, 18 (15); deaths, fi (S) : marriages, 9 (4). Paten. —Births, 2 (4); deaths, 1 (2) ; marriages, 1 (3). Eltham. —Births, 12 (9); deaths, 2 (11; marriages, 1 (1). Kaponga.—Births, 3 (4); deaths, 1 (9): marriages, 0 (0). Waveriey.—Births, 5 (3); deaths, 1 (0) ; marriages, 1 (0). Manaia.—Births, 2 (3); deaths, 0 (1)' marriages, Q (2). Opunake.—Births. S (6); deaths, 0 (0); marriages, 1 (2).
