SLEET, HAIL AND SNOW
NORTH ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND ROAD TRAFFIC IMPEDED. (By Telegraph—Presa Association.) RUGBY, Obt. 29. Wintry conditions set in over the whole of Great Britain yesterday with a renewal, of the gale on the east coast and showers of sleet and hail or falls of snow in most parts of the country. Snow in certain parts of northern England and Scotland impeded road traffic. During the heavy weather in the North Sea several steamers sought shelter in Bridlington Bay, including the Dutch motor-ship Europa, whose compass, wheelhouse and forecastle were washed away. Several trawlers were in difficulties.
