WALKER DEFEATS RUMBERG
TWO FALLS TO ONE, END IN SIXTH ROUND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Oct. 18. Walker defeated Rumberg by two falls to one in a wrestling match. Walker secured a submission fall in the fourth round with a- bar toehold, but Rumberg equalised in the fifth by dumping Walker five times in succession and then applying a body press. Walker clinched the argument in the sixth round, throwing Rumberg through the ropes and about the ring until he was groggy and then pouncing on him for an easy fall.

Welterweight: R. De Clecne (Palmerston North) 10.7 beat IT. Blanchfield (Greymouth) 10.2. Blanehficld was incapacitated in the first round. Middleweight: O. Rickards (Wanganui) 11.4 beat L. Coughland (Otago) 10.13 on points; 11. Johnson (Auckland) 11.2 beat J. Beasley (New Plymouth) 11.1 by one fall. Light heavyweight: R, Douglas (Auckland)- 12.2 beat P. Razos (Wellington) 12.0 on points; 11. Bartlett ("Wanganui) 11.13 beat A. K. Asher (Christchurch) 12.0, taking two quick falls. Heavyweight: H. R.,Godfrey (Wellington) 11.6 beat G. Harris (Stratford) 13.7 on points; D. Scarrow (Wanganui) 13.7 beat D. G. Simpson (Christchurch) 13.84 by a fall in the last round. Lightweight: R. Bullock (Wanganui) 9.12 beat F. Spalding, (Wellington) 9.13. Spalding was incapacitated in the last round.
