As a. sequel to a midnight affray after a dance on Saturday, a showman named Clement Herbert Downs, aged 20, appeared in court to-day charged with causing actual bodily harm to Lindsay Gordon Glass and was remanded for a. week.
The police stated that Glass, ivno was* struck with a. bottle, was in hospital with scalp wounds, btft iiis condition was not serious. A dispute arose over seeing a young lady home, the men coining to blows.
