LONG PLEASURE FLIGHT

ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA. MONOPLANE CHARTERED. (United Tress Association —By Bice trio Telegraph Copyright.) LONDON, Sept. 29. Mr William Pomeroy Crawford, M.P. for City of Worcester, has chartered a Snartan monoplane with three Gipsy Major engines to take himself and two or three friends to Australia on a pleasure trip. This is the first occasion on which an aeroplane has been chartered to take passengers to Australia. He leaves England on September 29 and is due in Sydney on October 9. Mr Greene is a much travelled man, especially tin Europe, North Africa, the Near East, India and the Antipodes. He was bom in New South Wales and served in the 11th Australian Light Horse.
