WEDDING BELLS
EVANS —HANSEN. The wedding was solemnised at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Morrinsville, on Wednesday, August 16, 1933, between Mary Margaret Lyall, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. 0. Hansen, of Nlgarua. Hoad, Waitoa, and Leslie Kelvin, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Evan Evans, oif Disraeli Street, Hawera. The church had been decorated with heath by friends of the bride. The Rev. O. W. Turner, of Te Aroha, officiated and Mrs Wright, of Morrinsville, played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a charming frock of white ring velvet, worn with a veil of embroidered tulle. She carried a* bouquet of white roses, sweetpeas and winter roses with maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by the Misses Mabel and Jean Hansen, her sisters. They were dressed alike in frocks of pale gold and deep gold satin, with Empire bodices and puffed sleeves with shirred toques of ring velvet to match. They earned bouquets of daffodils and lachanelias with asparagus fern. Mr A. Hunger was best mail and Mr James Fleming was groomsman. The reception was held at the Cosy Tea Blooms in Morrinsville. Mrs F. C. Hansen received her guests in a charming frock of claret ring velvet and carried a bouquet- of anemones in red tonings. The bridegroom’s mother wore a* frock of figured lnaroeaiii and black coat with a black and white hat. She carried a bouquet in mauve toning®. The bridegroom’s grandmother was dressed in black and white with hat to tone. Among those present were : Mr and Mrs Dynes Fulton, Mr and Mrs Williams, Mr and Mrs W. Wood, Mr and Mrs F. Brayshaw, Miss Zella, Price, Miss O'live dole, Miss June Fleming, Miss Dorothy Hawthorn, Mrs Hangard, Mr A. Gillies', Mr W. Perroti, Mr H. Kinneburgh, Mrs J. Brunskill, -Mr A. Gray, Mr J. E. Hansen, and Mr F. H. Hansen. Later Mr and Mrs L. K. Evans left on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a knitted juniper suit of mustard colour with contrasting stripes. She wore a muscatel coat with n fur collar and hat to match. Mr and Mrs L. K. Evans will make their future home in Waitoa.
