OAMARU, Aug. 28. Ross Crawshaw, aged 21, the son of Mr Frank Crawshaw, an cx-Mayor of Oamaru, met death under tragic circumstances yesterday. In company with E. Swinard and L. Faid, Crawshaw was engaged in shooting shags' six miles beyond Dr. Gow’s property at Tapui, and was found dead with severe injuries to his head below a cliff 200 feet high. A large boulder, which was close to the body, apparently had been loosened by recent rains and fell from tlie top of tlie cliff on the unfortunate man. Deceased was a prominent Oamaru swimmer.
