> —— SENT TO GAOL FOR DEBT. The former rector of Stiffkey, in Norfolk, Mr. Harold Davidson, was Intel v taken by train' by bailiffs of Blackpool County Court to V alton gaH, Liverpool. This stop followed a committal order by a judge at the Blackpool Countv Court for payment by Mr. Davidson of £43 for board and lodging in a case remitted from a London county court. Mr. Davidson, who protested that the money was not owing by him rrji vo himself up to the badiifs and spent the night in Blackpool police station.
