SHOULD PAY IN STERLING
SOUTHLAND BOARD’S STERLING. VIEW OF THE GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 25. Members of the Southland Power Board had a lengthy interview with the Acting-Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, in private to-day regarding the payment to British bondholders. lit. is understood 1 they were informed that the view of the Government was that, the board should pay in sterling. The meeting adjourned and members of the board are considering the position. It is .expected they' willl give an answer to Mr Coates in the morning.
