VISIBILITY OBSTRUCTED MOTORISTS’ CRITICISM At last evening’s meeting of the South Taranaki Automobile Association at Hawera reference was made to the Tawhiti railway crossing and the obstruction caused to the visibility through the erection of a high iron fence. Attention to this was called by the service officer (Mr J. McKee) in his monthly report. Mr W. O. Williams said the fence made the crossing a “regular death trap.” He added that the Mayor had told him the Borough Council could do nothing to prevents its erection.
