RIOTING IN PUNJAB
POLICE COMPELLED TO EIRE. FIVE TRIBESMEN KILLED. (United Preas Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) CALCUTTA, Aug. '2. Five were killed and 50 injured during a riot at the Killian Walla village in the Lvnllpur district of Punjab bebetween Kharral and Beloeliis, an indigenous tribe. The police were called and tried to quell the riot, during which knives and loaded sticks were used. The police at length were com polled to fire, killing the five.
