SERVICE COORDINATION
AUCKLAND DISTRICT APPEAL. TRANSPORT BOARD’S DECISION. (By Telegraph —Press Association ) THAMES, Aug. 19. The decision of the Transport Appeal Board regarding the Railways Board proposal to co-ordinate the service between Thames, Paeroa, Waihi and Te Aroha to Auckland with the railways at Pokeno, 40 miles from Auckland was announced. The decision is to the effect that the proposal is impracticable, but co-ordination is desirable at Ngatea between Thames and Paeroa, the Waihi to Auckland services to eliminate one through trip alternately. Details are left to the No. 2 licensing authority and also minor time-table adjustments in the WaihiPaeroa service.
