WELLINGTON, Aug. 18. , Clive Neville Watts, aged 23, of Auckland, was convicted to-day and ordered to come up within 12 months for senteuce if called upon for stowing away on the. Mataroa. He pleaded that he was destitute there and had tried to get a post to work his passage out. He had stowed away rather than he deported as a- criminal.
