WASHINGTON, Aug. 1. The Secretary for Agriculture, Mr. Wallace, announced to-day the postponement until August 24 of his decision settling the percentage of wheat acreage reduction to be asked of farmers in consideration of payments to bo made under the voluntary domestic allotment plan. Mr. Wallace said lie wished to give the World Wheat Conference the .opportunity to reach a decision for a reduction of production by all the four great exporting nations before the United States embarked independently upon a definite domestic acreage reduction programme of its own.

Mr. Wallace’s statement was ill recognition of a cablegram received late last week asking him to postpone the decision because of new possibilities of international agreement being reached at London.
