'Flu* general inference is that a vary slight anti-oyehmc is passing to the north of Now Zealand to-day, hut a deep depression developed rapidly yesterday over south-eastern Australia and will shortly cause a renewal of unsettled weather in the Dominion. The forecast is for strong westerly winds, decreasing and gradually veering to the north-west and later again freshening, and the weather will probably he changeable at first, with scattered showers, hut soon improving temporarily. Temperatures will he moderate. Rough seas are to he expected.
