JUDGMENT FOE DEFENDANT. (13y Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Aug. 1. The magistrate, Air J. B. Bartholomew, gave judgment to-day in the case of Robert Geen (Oainaru) against Alatthew Iloncrv Dawson in respect to the sale to the” latter of the trotting mare Elie Bingen, the point in dispute being a sum of £SO to be paid to piaintiff out of the first stakes won. The legal point at issue was the joint interest or “contingency” and the magistrate liehl that by plaintiff’s signature to the registration form notifying that his contingency expired on July 3J, 1932, ho debarred himself from now alleging the contrary. Judgment was given for defendant.
