Four school districts entered in the district farm courts contest and the margin between the winning Whareliuia court and the . runners-up (Mahoe) was only three in a maximum of 200 points. The judges, Messrs J. M. Smith and C. Haynes, of the Agricultural Department, were very pleased with'the displays and found the utmost difficulty in separating first and second. Wharehuia had a lead of four on arrangement and effect and this practically decided the issue, for in otheT details 1 a difference of only a point or two i either way was shown. Wharehuia scored 169 and Mahoe 166; Toko K59-J, Stratford 130.
