The International Labour Conference through the FreneTi delegate, M. Jouhaux, is presenting a resolution to the Economic Conference recommending the restoration of monetary conditions on am international basis for the prevention of. fluctuation in prices, the elimination. of exchange and restrictions on trade improvements, an increase of the purchasing power of the community with an improved living standard for workers and the recirculation of idle capital through a works policy; The German delegate protested at the Labour Conference’s refusal to nominate-Germans: and Italians to commissions.

PARIS, June 9. , Mr. Daladier informed the Chamber ofvDeputies that f he intends todo his utmost to promote the. success of the world conference. „ France,,, h.e said., did not consider the manipulation of gold..would solve currency problems. This must he.the outcome of countries which "had abandoned gold agreeing to stabilisation. There must be concerted production policy by all countries. France would adhere to , a forty-hour week if other Powers decided thereon. France supported public works as a remedy for unemployment.
