Before it adjourned' the General Commission, of the Disarmament Conference accepted the British draft ys the basis of a future disarmament treaty. xV Rome message stated that no achievement by Signor Mussolini has aroused more genuine- and general satisfaction' than the initialling of the Four-Power i Pact. Despite modifications the essential ideas of the original project have been maintained and it is considered Europe is assured of at least ten years’ peace. 'A Paris message says M. Daladier s unlikely to experience difficulty in securing a majority for the ratification of the pact. Signor Mussolini’s speech has been favourably received by all sections of the Press.
