TRIO RESCUED FROM SURF

PROMPT WORK OF LIFE-SAVER SYDNEY TRAGEDY AVERTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) SYDNEY, June 8. The Rev. Frederick Phillip, India, and his two sons, aged 17 and 14, bathing in the surf at Bronte to-day, were aIF carried seaward and were indangei of drowning when their plight was noticed by two members of the local life-saving club. One of the life-savers Keith Hudson, stripped naked, donned the belt and swam out m the heavy sea. He rescued the trio and resuscitated them on the beach. Mr. Phillip is rector of the Anglican Grammar School at Hyderabad, India, and is visiting Sydney. He expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Hudson and ins companion who manned the reel.
