MANAIA

(From Our Own porrespondent). FUNERAL OF MISS M. ADLAM. The funeral of the late- Miss Mary Adlam, eldest daughter of Mr and Mi's V. H. Adlam, took place on Thursday afternoon, leaving the residence of her parents for the Manaia Cemetery at 2 p:m. The funeral was very largely attended by friends and sympathisers to pay rtheir last respects to the deceased, who was held in very liigli esteem by all and was a very popular member .of the- Manaia, Ladies’ Hockey Club. Tlie Rev. O. -AY. Solomon,. vicar of St. Outliberts, officiated at the. residence and the graveside. The pall bearers were Messrs B. Aroa., E. Griffin, C. Griffin, R. Green, R. Jem nings and R. Adlam. Many beautiful wreaths were laid on the casket, including one from the Manaia. Girls’ Hockey Club.
