PAPER MAKERS’ COMPLAINT
GERMAN DUMPING ALLEGED. PURCHASES IN NEW ZEALAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright.) Received 1.10 p.m. to-day. LONDON, June 8. A deputation of parchment paper manufacturers waited on Sir Thomas Wilford and complained that Germany wa.s dumping the product in New Zealand at £4O per ton c.i.f., compared with £45 a ton for .British, whereas Germany was selling the same paper internally at £SO per ton. The deputation mentioned Germany’s severe restrictions on New Zealand butter.. Sir Thomas promised to convey the representations to the Government, and advised the deputation to see Mr Forbes and Mr Masters.
