PEOPLE OF 1 SOUTH CHINA. AUCKLANDER’S IMPRESSIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 29. An Auckland businessman who returned to-day from the Orient said that in the cities of South China one would hardly know any hostilities were in progress. The war in the northern area was never discussed and business people did not seem to take it seriously. Determined efforts were being made by Italian shipping lines to capture the passenger trade between China and Europe.
